St. Patty's Day Celebrations

This weekend kicked off the St. Patrick's Day festivities for the Long Party of Five. We met up with some good friends on Saturday morning to enjoy the annual 5 Points St. Patrick's Day Parade.

It was a hoot, the parade did not disappoint, and we were blessed with perfect weather - we couldn't have asked for better!
The kids loved sitting in their 'tailgate chairs'.....

and Daddy's funny hat (no doubt the remnants from Daddy's party days long past - but that Anna insists he wear every.single.year)....

and trying on Daddy's funny hat (I think Jack looks like Baby New Year)...

and seeing the fun things in the parade - from silly dogs dressed up to real Irish bands and dancers - to the official parade Leprechaun...

and picking up the candy tossed by parade goers to the kiddies lining the streets (think - Mardi Gras floats sans alcohol or beads)...

and of course, the children's carnival. By the time the parade ended - Jack was about finished - tired and in need of a bottle - so Deonne took the kids along with our friends to the carnival - where they slid the super big slides, rode all the rides, and had a fun lunch out - and I made my way home with a sleepy babe in tow.

A fun way to kick off the weekend - and the fun "green" things to come!
